Will the AI ever say something wrong to a student?
It answers from the material you give it, not the open internet, so it stays inside your agency’s facts. When it is unsure it says so and hands over to a human rather than guessing. You can review every conversation in the Inbox, and any weak answer becomes a knowledge gap for you to fix.
Can I turn the AI off?
Yes — instantly, in AI Control. Messages still arrive in your Inbox for your team to answer by hand. You can also schedule the hours the AI is allowed to reply.
Does it work in Bangla?
Yes. It understands and replies in English, Bangla, and Bangla typed in English letters, matching whatever the student uses.
What happens when a counsellor replies to a chat the AI is handling?
The AI pauses on that conversation the moment your message sends, so you never talk over each other. See Human handover.
Do students know they are talking to an AI?
That is up to you. You set the assistant’s name and greeting on the website widget and Messenger. Many agencies present it as their support desk; the handover to a named human is seamless either way.
Can I import my existing students?
Yes — from a spreadsheet, on the Leads screen.
Why can I not see the CRM / Knowledge Base / Playground?
Some sections depend on your plan. A locked section shows an explanation and a prompt to upgrade. Check Billing or ask Support.
What are credits and what uses them?
Credits are AbroadMate’s unit of AI usage. The assistant draws on your monthly credit balance as it answers and processes conversations. Your balance and usage are on the Billing screen.
The AI stopped replying — what happened?
The most common reasons: it is switched off or outside its active hours (AI Control); a channel needs reconnecting (Integrations); or your credit balance is zero with an unpaid invoice (Billing). If none of those, open a Support ticket.
